Hopeful News!

Just as we received the final piece of documentation requested from the Judge...we received word that they would like to have our court date February 20th!!! We of course were astonished and at first I had to ask if our agency rep had called the wrong couple. This was not the case... however she did warn us that frequently court dates get delayed and postponed. Often several times. We should know more details by the end of the week....but are encouraged by the fact that the Judge is already considering our case at this point.

Another little tidbit of new that we received is that the Baby Home where "R" is living unfortunately is without water due to a broken water pump that is buried deep below the extremely frozen ground. All of the children have been moved into the city to temporary housing at other Baby homes and hospitals until the spring when they can repair the pump. Although I'm sure this was quite a disruption for the children and caretakers, they are all safe. One advantage to having "R" in the city is that possibly Jeff and I will be able to visit more frequently while we wait out the 10 day waiting period after court.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers; as it does seem as though the stars are aligning to bring us to the conclusion of this journey and the beginning of our new one as a family!!! Keep them coming and we'll keep you all updated on any new developments!

Just a little teaser!

YEAH!!!!!! Very exciting news, J & D!

Mom and dad are thinking that since our kiddos have been relocated, that perhaps this will move the process along faster...that perhaps the orphanages are now "crowded". Then again, this is Russia we're working with and they think differently than us. ;)

Keep your fingers crossed for us and know we are continuing to say prayers for you that everything continues to move forward so smoothly!

Hugs,
L & J

Hi Dawn:

We are another WHFC waiting family and I got the link to your blog from Adrian Newton. I have been following your journey since your referral in September. We are still waiting to hear the official word on which region we are going to - we have requested sibilings so we know this region is always a possibility. I'm glad to see that things are moving closer to a day that you will bring your son home!!

Fingers crossed that you hear more good news soon!!!

Christine
